Woke up this morning to a light dusting of snow. I needed to wander outside with a kettle of hot water in order to defrost the bird bath, and was glad I'd closed up the cold frame last night, and bought the potted fig trees indoors again.
I sorted through a big pile of completed and uncompleted cushion covers, quilts and assorted 'makes' that was piled up next to the sofa. I've a load of things to list on Etsy, and spent some time photographing them, trying to present them in the best possible light. It's so difficult to know how to price handmade items. You want to charge a reasonable amount to cover your material costs and reflect the amount of hours you've put in. But you have to balance that by anticipating how much a customer would be willing to part with to buy your work. I think a lot of it is guesswork in the beginning. The blue cushion cover in the centre of this photo is one I'm listing at Shoprubykittyruby on Etsy.
This pink hexagon cushion cover will be listed too. Let's hope they find their way to a new home soon.
