I think I confused her by wittering on about using them to print on, but that's basically the intention. I'll add colour with the gell plate, then make them up into booklets, like mini art journals. The envelopes are approx 15x23cm, so there's a decent surface to decorate.
While we're on the subject of Facebook and arty things, I joined an Artist Trading Cards group, and am taking part in their November challenge. I need to make six ATCs inspired by the words 'poppy, acorn, apple'. So today I was trying and largely failing to draw/paint realistic looking apples. I had better luck with poppies as I made little collages of the seedheads, and I think they turned out fairly nicely.
Apart from that, I have to admit I made yet more paper flowers! It's my new addiction.
I've also wandered down yet another YouTube rabbit hole and found paper dolls are a 'thing' too, especially those made by an artist called Megan Quinlan. I've been making my own version, and will show you those when they're finished. I did look into buying her paper doll stencils, but the cost of shipping from the U.S. put them out of bounds. But do look Megan Quinlan up on Instagram as her work's lovely, and well worth a browse.Anyway, apart from that I'm halfway through another of Richard Osman's wonderful 'Thursday Murder Club' books. Am really enjoying 'The Bullet That Missed', and as yet I've no idea whodunnit.
Hope you've having a good Wednesday. Bye!
